On July 10, 2013, CivicMedia-Minnesota’s(CMM) flagship TruthToTell will host a special Community Connections forum engagement on youth empowerment at Avalon School, 700 Glendale St, St Paul, MN 55114. Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30 broadcast. Refreshments will be served and prizes will be given out to attendees and participants.
Join TruthToTell co-host, Michelle Alimoradi and special guest co-host RayLynn Prokasky along with SPNN Community Productions for a special televised idea share event for young people. Youth will discuss the following questions: What are your goals for your future? How can others help you achieve them? How can you help yourself? Your family and community? All ages are welcome.
This discussion will feature stories from young people as well as older adults who work with youth to help them succeed. Representatives from CMM’s production partners, Youthprise, St. Paul Sprockets, St. Paul Parks and Recreation, Step-Up, and Avalon School will be on hand to help moderate the discussion and make use of youth feedback.
This discussion will be broadcast on cable access channels in St. Paul and Minneapolis, as well as on KFAI Fresh Air Radio. The resulting media will also be available after the taping for wider non-profit distribution. Attendees acknowledge and permit use of video and audio recording upon entering our studio space.
